about Shannon

With an educational background in design at the University of NSW, owner and founder Shannon spent the first decade of her career working at a commercial textile studio designing bespoke prints for fashion and swimwear brands big and small. Seeking exceptional and sophisticated stationery for her own nuptials Shannon encountered difficulty finding something that fit her vision. Realising she could draw upon her own talents for the occasion, Shannon created a range of invitations for her Spring wedding, inspired by seasonal blossoms, and discovered her personal niche. Thus, Typoflora was born.

Since then, Shannon has channelled her skill for hand-drawn precision into botanicals and wild animals, highlighting her appreciation of nature through Typoflora. Resplendent in florals from poppies to peonies, waratahs to wattle, Shannon captures delicate beauty to decorate an assortment of products from greeting cards to tea towels.

When she is not drawing at her desk or designing new collections, you might find her at a flower market or in the garden finding inspiration. She has worked on a wide range of bespoke illustration projects, which include branding and packaging designs, textiles print designs, book illustration plus more. Her work has been included in the range of Jurlique, Timotei and ANZ Bank to name just a few.
